School Meals

School lunches cost £1.70 for pupils in Key Stage 2. Meals for the week must be ordered and paid for in advance using the 'My Child at School' APP.

Children can bring a packed lunch, but please do not send; glass bottles, cans, sweets or items containing nuts in their lunch box. Please label the box clearly with your child’s name.

Many families are eligible for Free School Meals. Please see a member of the office staff if you think you may be eligible .

Fruit in Key Stage 1

Pupils in Key Stage 1 are given a piece of fruit each morning break.

Water Bottles

We encourage the children to drink water through the school day so that they are hydrated and able to learn. We have three water fountains so the children can fill up their water bottles. 

Nut Free Trust

Horizon Academy Trust has introduced a nut free policy across all of its schools in order to protect children and adults with serious nut allergies. This decision was made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our school community, especially those with severe nut allergies. By eliminating nuts from our school environments, we aim to create a safer and more inclusive space for everyone. Please note that this change applies to all food brought into the school, including packed lunches and staff meals and snacks. We would like to remind you that your cooperation in ensuring that no nuts or nut-derived ingredients are included in any food items brought onto the school premises, including the following:

• Peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches

• Fruit and cereal bars that contain nuts

• Chocolate bars or sweets that contain nuts

• Sesame seed rolls (children allergic to nuts may also have a severe reaction to sesame)

• Hummus or houmous as it contains tahini which is made from sesame

• Pesto which contains nuts

• Cakes made with nuts

• Any home-cooked meals for packed lunches that are made from nuts

• Nut oils
